It’s almost a year since I last made an entry in this blog, yet I continue to get quite a number of hits each week. Don’t worry I’m not deluding myself into thinking that it’s old fans still pining and hoping that I’ll return to publish here again. I suspect I never had any fans. The visitors, in the main, appear to be people who’ve found my site when looking for particular subjects via a search engine. Some of those searches are understandable, whilst others are down right weird !
It’s a sad but true fact that I’m a big fan of Terry Wogan’s wireless show, 7 ‘til 9, Monday to Saturday, on the Light Programme (Radio 2, 88-91 VHF), for which I make no apologies. As a result I tended to comment on stuff to do with his show etc. This subject matter accounts for a large number of hits on that blog. Things like the TOGS Calendar and the ‘Janet & John’ stories score the most hits. This is why I’m going to have links on my new blog direct to the relevant sites. Also quite understandably ale and beer related topics score quite heavily in the searches. The results I find harder to understand are things like: ‘bloke rods progressive’, ‘women wankers.com’, ‘british masturbation’, ‘ant and dec shitheads’, ‘what is the name of the place of the 1802 u.s military academy in new york’, ‘monarch ketchup’ and ‘oap sex’ – what is that all about ?
